Being this far west, on a small island, off a smallish island, partly contributes to Ynys Môn being one of the sunniest parts of the UK. The Met Office station, just over the water in Valley, records an annual average of 1,674hrs of sunshine.
Climate Change And Our Roof
Storm Éowyn - in Jan 25 - was a particularly brisk event! Gusts in the 70’s really are not that unusual here and our ‘infrastructure’ is pretty geared to it, particularly if the direction is south-west as Éowyn was. Really, the storm passed without too much impact. - except on the roof of our cabin!

Popularised by our friends over at FullyCharged.SHOW & Everything Electric, the concept of "Stop Burning Stuff" is self explanatory and pretty compelling to us. We currently do burn stuff on site. We burn LPG for heating and hot water, and we burn LPG for cooking....

As a young woman I was very fortunate to have an amazing role model who mountaineered, kayaked, played sport and ran. Not only did my Aunty Sheila embody ‘the positive powers of the outdoors’, she also worked on it every day in her teaching, researching and publishing on gender and sports.
