Outdoor Alternative was established at our family home Cerrig yr Adar in 1985. Ian and Margaret wanted to share with others their passion for this very special part of Anglesey. Founded with the underlying principles of affordable accommodation for adventure, education and exploration in the natural environment.

Build an environmentally, socially and financially sustainable business that is fit for future generations. Where we measure what matters and clearly demonstrate that business can be a force for good and create benefit for people and the planet

We feel very lucky to live on this little parcel of land with so much space around us with views of the sea and mountains, 40 years on we are still as passionate and committed to living and building a sustainable business here in Rhoscolyn.

Your Stay Gives Back...Outdoor Alternative donates 1% of our turnover to environmental charities. Our current chosen partners are North Wales Wildlife Trust & British Trust for Ornithology.
