With more than 35 years experience of hosting college and university groups, we are an established venue for educational groups on field study trips with a particular focus on geology and marine biology.

Our superb coastal location allows from-the-door access to rocky shores, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and cliffs for studying the rich biodiversity and varied coastal habitats.

We are also ideally placed within walking distance of the to the GeoMôn UNESCO Global Geopark, with easily accessible coastal exposures, the area is perfect for detailed mapping exercises.

There is plenty of room in our communal areas for setting up labs and evening work. The addition of our 24ft yurt with; power supply, tables and chairs provides additional space for lab work, workshops or lectures.

Whatever the educational goals for your trip, additional learning is possible related to our implementation of low carbon technology and our decarbonisation journey. Each building is equipped with a screen providing real time access to how these technologies are generating, utilising and managing the energy systems on site.

Accommodation - Self catered or catered, the centre has a choice of two self contained bunkhouses, which can be used independently or together. Morwennol sleeps 20 and Mulfran sleeps 22.  We also have Ty Bach which is a 4 bedded room with ensuite bathroom accessed from outside. For more information see our Bunkhouse Accommodation.

Catering - Our meals are all prepared with fresh ingredients and are locally sourced where possible. Whether it is full catering, bed and breakfast, just evening meals, or a one pot supper, we are happy to be flexible.

Options for Educational Groups

Please contact us to discuss the needs of your group, we have the flexibility to offer you comfortable accommodation suited to the size of your group and are happy to provide the catering options that suit you.

• we offer a per person rate with discounts for more than 3 night bookings
• we look for a minimum of 12 to book one of the bunkhouses
• we can accommodate up to 41 in both bunkhouses including Ty Bach
• we can accommodate 47 with the use of the static caravan
• the static caravan can be added to your booking if you require separate space for your staff or demonstrators
• our 24ft yurt can be hired as additional space, including power supply, chairs and tables, projector screen.
• we offer full catering, cooked breakfast, packed lunch and 3 course evening meals, teas and coffee and biscuits available to help yourselves to.
• or we can provide just the meals you require.
• plenty of outside space for free time with a designated field for games.
