Responsible Visitor Guide

Help us with our Environmental Work by being a Responsible Visitor

Seven things you can do:

  • Conserve energy – reduce energy by switching off lights and closing windows and doors if heating is on. Use the radiator thermostats and room stats (common room) to control the heat.

  • Give the car a rest – plan your activities that don’t need you to use the car or share cars. There are lots of things to do within walking distance of the Centre – ask for more information.

  • Shop local – use local produce during your stay on Anglesey. Cigydd y Fali (the Valley Butchers) source their meat and veg from local suppliers.

  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – try to avoid overly packaged goods and lots of carrier bags. We have a recycling container on site for Plastic, Glass and Cans and can also recycle paper and card – please separate these goods from the rubbish and help us to recycle them.

  • Be Water Wise – use water wisely – turn off the tap when not in use and be sparing over other water use. All of our toilets, hot taps and showers are fitted with water saving devices that have helped us to significantly reduce our water consumption.

  • Respect nature – look after local nature and wildlife by not littering, guarding against fire and using footpaths and cycle tracks responsibly.

  • Support other Green Tourism Businesses – check out whether places you stay and activity providers you use have their own environmental policies and are committed to sustainability.

And most importantly enjoy your stay – we’d like you to come back!
